About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet Hampton Inn by Hilton brand standards. This role supports team productivity, quality assurance, and guest satisfaction by supervising housekeeping staff, conducting inspections, and ensuring efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1–2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel setting
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills (PMS systems preferred, e.g., OnQ)
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Hilton or similar brand standards is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry staff
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and brand compliance
  • Ensure adherence to Hilton brand standards and property SOPs
  • Monitor room status updates and coordinate with Front Desk for room readiness
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Train, coach, and support housekeeping staff to maintain high performance
  • Assist in scheduling staff based on occupancy and business needs
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate priorities and expectations
  • Address employee concerns and escalate issues as needed
  • Monitor housekeeping productivity (minutes per room, labor hours)
  • Assist in controlling labor costs while maintaining service quality
  • Ensure proper inventory levels of linens, supplies, and amenities
  • Support inventory counts and ordering processes
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and service issues
  • Ensure VIP rooms and special requests are handled with attention to detail
  • Promote a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and hotel safety procedures
  • Maintain proper key control and lost & found procedures
  • Report maintenance issues promptly to Engineering
