About The Position

Willamette Valley Vineyards, a local producer of world-class wines, is searching for a team player and customer-focused individual to help our Estate and Into the Woods Teams this fall season. This is a seasonal housekeeping position, assisting the Camp Hosts at our into the Into the Woods facility, and also assist in cleaning at the Estate. This position is responsible for ensuring the grounds and buildings at these locations are clean and safe, while keeping with the integrity of the company’s image and values.

Requirements

  • Prioritize and balance multiple requests and or tasks and follow through in a timely manner.
  • Prior housekeeping or cleaning skills, ability to lift and stand for long periods of time
  • High school diploma or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of customer service.
  • A high level of professionalism.
  • Lift 40lbs and navigate stairs, uneven surfaces, and hilly terrain.
  • Stand/ walk for long periods of time.
  • Work weekends and evenings if necessary to accomplish key tasks.
  • Use discretion and keeping all information confidential.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions appropriately.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team. Build team dynamics and synergy across departments.
  • Independently motivated to respond and address guests needs, at department-level.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain work area in a neat and clean manner.
  • Mop hard surface floors, including concrete, vinyl, hardwood and tile.
  • Clean, mop and restock paper supplies in bathrooms.
  • Clean windows and sills in Tasting Room, Estate Room, Mezzanine, Founder’s Room, Pinot Room, Reception and offices.
  • Clean window sills on Tasting Room Decks.
  • Vacuum and/or sweep all hospitality areas, including Guest Suites
  • Empty and clean all trash and recycling receptacles, inside and outside.
  • Clean all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and retail space.
  • Clean all fireplace glass doors on a regular basis, and fire torchlights by three exterior sets of doors.
  • Dust all glass shelving areas, gift shop items and wine bottles in the Tasting Room.
  • Clean smudges/prints on windows as needed between professional window cleanings.
  • General cleaning of business rooms including but not limited to: sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning windows, trash removal, vacuuming.
  • Clean & prepare guest suites in accordance with the checklist. Replace missing items.
  • Wash guest suite linens and towels.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Maintain, organize and order cleaning supplies, while always striving to make these more “green” and “earth friendly”.
  • Note issues with plants and report to landscape maintenance staff immediately.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by abiding by all safety rules and regulations in accordance with company policies, state, and federal laws.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Hospitality Manager
