About The Position
The Housekeeping/Patient Care Attendant (PCA) supports hospital operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment. This non-clinical role is essential to patient care through strict adherence to disease control protocols, facility cleaning, laundry, and inventory management.
Requirements
- Compassion for pets and people
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting, cleaning, patient restraint)
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect kennels, surgery/prep areas, and public spaces
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory
- Receive and stock shipments
- Perform laundry duties
- Assist with basic care of boarded or hospitalized patients
- Animal restraint
- Surgery set-up/tear down
- Maintain overall facility cleanliness and organization
