About The Position

Hotel EMC2, a proud member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, is a boutique hotel that blends art, science, and hospitality into an inspiring guest experience. Located in vibrant downtown Chicago, we are passionate about delivering exceptional service and memorable stays. We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining impeccable cleanliness and an inviting atmosphere throughout the hotel. This role requires a hands-on leader committed to high standards, staff development, and seamless operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of housekeeping or hospitality management experience, preferably in luxury or boutique hotels.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Experience with housekeeping management software preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Marriott experience a plus but not mandatory.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces.
  • Train, coach, and supervise housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain brand standards.
  • Inspect rooms and public spaces regularly to ensure thorough cleaning and upkeep.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities; control costs effectively.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to meet operational needs and maintain productivity.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, front desk, and management teams to address guest requests and maintenance issues promptly.
  • Uphold safety, sanitation, and Marriott brand standards consistently.
  • Manage departmental budgets and payroll within established guidelines.
