About The Position

The Mountain Sky Guest Ranch housekeeping department upholds 4-diamond cleaning standards in a resort ranch environment. Daily housekeeping service in our 32 guest cabins and shared facilities are required. Primary duties include training, managing and working alongside our Guest Services staff as they rotate through the department. Must effectively communicate with other ranch departments to fulfill special requests and ensure guest needs are met. Responsible for delivering stored and shipped items to guest cabins, upkeep of laundry, inventory and vendor management. Must ensure the assistant manager is fully prepared to take over duties during scheduled time off.

Requirements

  • The ability to independently set a course or direction, which fulfills the goals and objectives as planned.
  • Extreme organizational skills required
  • Must have a basic knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • At least a High School Degree or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to carry, use hands, eyes, arms and voice.
  • Safely and effectively use cleaning supplies and agents.
  • Safe and effective use of all housekeeping equipment.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Includes periodic long and after-hours work.
  • Expect to walk up to 6 miles per day

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that on any given day up to 32 cabins are cleaned to our strict industry standard.
  • Perform cabin inspections and communicate those that have been cleared with the front desk on turnaround days.
  • Fostering an inclusive and positive work environment for the guest services staff.
  • Abide by and promote the Blank Family of Business Core Values.
  • Effectively creating cleaning teams daily among the guest services staff that rotates through the Housekeeping Department
  • Upkeep of all ranch laundry, including but not limited to sheets, towels, dining linens, and more.
  • Maintaining an organized office space.
  • Communicate effectively with the Assistant Housekeeping Manager to ensure success in times when the Manager is not present.
  • Promote customer relations and resolve any conflicts arising with guests
  • Report job status to the General Manager and other key management members. This includes a weekly manager meeting with departmental updates.
  • Ensure all work is distributed fairly and equitably.
  • Display a positive attitude and maintain a cooperative working relationship with the General Manager; other managers and all other employees.
  • Ensure all Housekeepers are properly trained.
  • Act as a working manager with employees.
  • Maintain Equipment / Supply inventory to suit needs of the department. This includes placing inventory orders and documenting all transactions with the accounting department.
