About The Position

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping & Laundry Aide to join our team at our Machias home on a per diem (as-needed) basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible scheduling while making a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents.

The Housekeeping & Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role supports both housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure high standards of cleanliness and infection control.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, and bathrooms
• Perform routine housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and linens
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
• Maintain equipment and report any maintenance concerns
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational needs
