About The Position

PUNCTUALITY IS A MUST!! The Housekeeping Houseperson plays a key support role in the housekeeping team, ensuring all guest and public areas remain clean, organized, and guest-ready. Your efforts behind the scenes enhance the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of every guest, while enabling Room Attendants and hotel operations to function efficiently. HOW YOU'LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas. Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals. Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork and equipment. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner. Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet. Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies. Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required. Supplies cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Physical stamina to complete labor-intensive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize duties
  • Willingness to support team members and adapt to evolving needs
  • Respect for guest privacy, safety, and hotel property
  • Professionalism and a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and safety procedures
  • Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required
  • Background in hospitality or customer service environments is beneficial
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment.
