Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Executive Housekeeper --- JOB SUMMARY The houseman at Caravan Court will facilitate daily housekeeping functions concerning guest rooms, laundry, and lobby. --- ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS · Operational Responsibilities o Deliver clean linen to housekeeping storages and carts o Retrieve trash from storages and carts and send to dumpster o Retrieve soiled linen from designated areas and deposit in laundry § Sort soiled linen by type § Separate stained linen for reclaim process o Respond to housekeeping requests when required o Set up roll away beds, cribs, shower chairs o Accept housekeeping deliveries and deliver as needed o Perform daily, weekly, and monthly PM tasks · Guest Services o Anticipate and attend to guest needs during interactions o Be proactive when attending to guests · Team Support and Training o Attend and contribute to department meetings o Participate in cross training o Complete all required trainings · Communication and Reporting Facilitate all internal communications and follow up accordingly o Run all reports necessary to the operation o Complete full shift pass on reports and checklists o Log all work in appropriate platforms · Safety & Compliance o Adhere to all safety and security guidelines QualificationsESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Effective time management and problem-solving skills · Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail · Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities --- Physical Requirements · Sitting: Short periods of time · Standing/Walking: Long periods of standing, minimum of 5 consecutive hours · Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally, maximum of 50 pounds. Pushing/ Pulling carts Working Environment · Interior: Hallways, storages, and guest rooms · Exterior: Outdoor areas of the hotel --- BASICS · Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas · Display courteous behavior with guests and team members · Report any unsafe conditions immediately · Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition · Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor --- CANDIDATE PROFILE · Education and Experience o No prior experience required o No minimum education requirements required
