About The Position

The Children’s Recovery Center in Norman, OK is looking for a Housekeeping/Custodial Worker to play a vital role in caring for and cleaning our inpatient facility. In this position, team members are responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disposing of trash throughout the facility. This role may also include the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials or other restricted items, ensuring all areas meet established health and safety standards. Job Type/Salary: Fulltime Position. Housekeeping I: $13.70/hr - $28,500.00/yr Housekeeping II: $14.66/hr - $30,500.00/yr Housekeeping III: $16.11/hr - $33,500.00/yr This position is non-exempt. Requirements

  • Level I: No experience required.
  • Level II: 6 months experience in building or institutional custodial work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level III: 18 months experience in building or institutional custodial work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 40 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older, due to DHS requirements.
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs.
  • Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.
  • THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
