About The Position
Our YMCA Camp Horsethief Reservoir is seeking our 2026 Camp Housekeeping Staff. This position ensures camp is welcoming and safe through cleanliness, safety and appearance of the facilities and property. Our YMCA Camp Horsethief Reservoir is ACA-Accredited. This means that the American Camping Association, the only national accrediting body for camps of all types, has ensured that the YMCA Camp at Horsethief Reservoir meets the accreditation standards for health, safety and risk management. ACA accreditation provides public evidence of a camp's commitment to the well-being of campers and staff.
Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Ability to live on site during scheduled program times.
- Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
- Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
- Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize inside and outside of buildings and common areas of camp property to meet standards of cleanliness in accordance with cleaning checklists and using required safety measures.
- Replenish products and supplies as needed.
- Develop intentional relationships and engage with members, responding to customer service needs using the Y voice attributes.
- Set-up before and tear-down after special events.
- Record and report necessary repairs and supplies needed.
- Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment.
