The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for promptly responding to requests from guests and other departments. This role involves preparing and transporting a cart with supplies to assigned areas, entering guest rooms following proper procedures to ensure vacancy, and replacing guest amenities, supplies, linens, and terry with clean items. Key duties include making beds, folding terry, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash, dirty linen, and room service items. The attendant must also verify that all in-room appliances are present and functional, straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances, and perform dusting, polishing, and mark removal from walls and furnishings. Vacuuming carpets and performing other floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways are also required. The position demands adherence to all company safety and security policies, reporting maintenance issues or hazards, completing safety training, and proper storage of flammable materials. Maintaining a professional appearance, confidentiality, and providing excellent guest service by welcoming, acknowledging, anticipating needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests are essential. The attendant is expected to use clear and professional language, support team goals, and ensure quality standards are met. Physical demands include moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and over 25 pounds with assistance, pushing/pulling loaded carts over various surfaces, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods, and performing tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
