About The Position

Steinhafels is looking to add a Housekeeping Associate to assist with cleaning their stores. The store housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and employees. This position focuses on cleaning and janitorial needs throughout the store, including restrooms, kitchen, and hospitality areas. The housekeeper ensures that all areas are consistently well-maintained, hygienic, and visually appealing. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to focus on cleanliness and presentation, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team while ensuring tasks are completed according to company procedures.
  • Understanding of proper cleaning techniques and the appropriate use of cleaning products for different surfaces to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Ability to work quickly without compromising quality, maintaining productivity during shifts.
  • This role requires frequent bending, kneeling, and walking (approximately 80% of the time), with the ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning duties throughout the store, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain a clean and presentable environment for customers and staff.
  • Ensure restrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly, restocking supplies, and ensuring a hygienic and pleasant experience for customers.
  • Clean and maintain break rooms and hospitality spaces, ensuring these areas are tidy, sanitized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in a safe, sanitary manner, ensuring that all trash areas are kept neat and organized.
  • Responsible for maintaining floors throughout the store by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and ensuring spills or debris are cleaned up promptly to prevent hazards.
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low or need to be replenished.
  • Participate in special cleaning projects, including seasonal deep cleaning, floor waxing, or cleaning of windows and other high-traffic areas as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive shopping environment by ensuring the store is clean and inviting for customers, contributing to an overall excellent customer experience.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring the proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies.
  • Must be available to work weekends as part of the regular schedule to ensure the store remains clean during high-traffic periods.
