About The Position

The Resort Housekeeper works primarily during the afternoon and evening after the Resort closes for the day. This role involves maintaining a clean and inviting environment across public areas, restrooms, and internal office spaces at Homewood Mountain Resort. Responsibilities include vacuuming, trash removal, and general cleanliness of all facilities. Housekeepers may need to move or lift furniture weighing over 20 lbs. Proper handling of chemicals and protective equipment is essential, and all cleaning tasks must align with the Resort’s safety standards. Housekeepers are expected to report any maintenance concerns to ensure the property maintains a high standard of cleanliness and safety.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with guests and staff professionally.
  • Familiarity with cleaning products, sanitation techniques, and methods.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including reaching, kneeling, bending, and moving heavy objects.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull as needed.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and meet criminal background standards.
  • Must hold a valid Class C driver’s license and meet the minimum requirements of the company’s insurance provider.
  • Must be literate and fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and be comfortable wearing a uniform.
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude toward serving people.
  • Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions provided orally or through diagrams.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and previous experience.

Responsibilities

  • Sweep, mop, dust, polish, and vacuum all public areas, restrooms, and office spaces to meet company standards and department checklists.
  • Ensure all trash is disposed of properly and hygienically in designated receptacles or dumpsters.
  • Wash and maintain windows in accordance with company standards.
  • Regularly dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Safeguard cleaning equipment and ensure its proper maintenance, addressing any inadequacies.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff and supervisors to ensure daily responsibilities are completed according to standards.
  • Assist with snow removal when required.
  • Promptly report any maintenance or facility concerns to uphold property standards.
  • Support the building maintenance department with tasks as needed.
  • Promote and exemplify the culture of teamwork, innovation, and fun at Homewood, ensuring both guests and employees have a memorable experience. Show professionalism and a commitment to safety and sustainability in every task.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming resort environment.
