About The Position

Texas Health Dallas is seeking a Full-Time Housekeeper for the evening shift, working 40 hours a week from 2:30pm - 11:00pm on a rotating schedule, including every weekend for the first 90 days of employment, then rotating weekends thereafter. This role is within Environmental Services, offering a teamwork environment, excellent mentorship, comprehensive training, and dedicated leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume department. Texas Health Hospital Dallas is an 875-bed, Magnet-designated, full-service hospital established in 1966, specializing in cancer care, cardiology, neurosciences, women’s services, and emergency medicine. It is also a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, a Comprehensive Stroke and Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, and provides wellness services, outpatient surgery, and women’s imaging services. Texas Health Dallas is a Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Level I Trauma Center, and a Comprehensive Heart Attack Center, committed to improving community health.

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently, setting priorities, and being flexible in assignments.
  • Able to work around housekeeping chemicals.

Nice To Haves

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months of hospital or hotel housekeeping experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean assigned area(s) according to procedure to meet established infection control, sanitation and safety guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, pulling trash, pulling dirty linen, cleaning sinks, commodes, countertops, showers and beds.
  • Replenish supplies on housekeeping carts or in assigned areas to prepare work area for next service period.
  • Responsible for keeping all equipment clean and reporting all broken equipment to the supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
