About The Position

The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the facility. This position is also responsible for creating a clean and orderly environment for our clients, visitors and staff and adhere to OSHA rules and regulations regarding health and safety. The qualified candidate for this position would be responsible for planning and execution of all housekeeping activities for the facility. The individual will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the facility. The ideal candidate will be thorough, organized, and possess a strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience and or training in housekeeping.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and follow process and controls; and able to read and understand label instructions.
  • Knowledge of handling cleaning products.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining client rooms to include stripping and making beds.
  • Ensure that cleaning closets are properly stocked with supplies and equipment and properly secured and locked when not in use.
  • Responsible for removing trash, mop, vacuum, dust and polishing of furniture.
  • Have knowledge of and follow procedures for proper handling of bodily fluids.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the facility.
  • Clean designated areas with proper chemicals, tools, and equipment.
  • Check under furniture for debris; reposition furniture to correct floor plan.
  • Take daily inventory and inspect the condition of all furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages to supervisor.
  • Clean all facility bathrooms to include offices, kitchen and community areas.
  • Replace facial and toilet tissues, paper hand towels, and soap dispensers as needed.
  • Empty all trash cans located inside and outside of the facility.
  • Notify supervisor regarding any damages or anything outside of normal appearance.
  • Communicate daily with supervisor.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
