About The Position

This is a Temp To Full-Time Housekeeper/Janitor position for commercial cleaning in the Morehead City area. The role is urgently hiring and offers a payrate of $13/hr, paid weekly, for full-time hours from 9am to 5pm. Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining resort standards by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing all surfaces. They ensure that vacation rentals, bathrooms, and common areas are thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and "guest-ready" according to property protocols.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of commercial housekeeping experience
• Constantly active throughout the shift; requires the ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb or balance while performing cleaning tasks.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools, feel surfaces for cleanliness, and manage delicate room resets.
• Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, or move items weighing between 25 and 50 pounds (such as linens, vacuums, or furniture).
• Strong listening and verbal skills to interact professionally with guests and teammates.
• Clear close, distance, and peripheral vision to ensure rooms meet high inspection standards and to navigate the property safely.

• Commercial housekeeping experience preferably in a hospitality setting

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, cabins, cottages, communal areas, and bathhouses, including dusting, polishing, changing linens, scrubbing kitchens/bathrooms, removing trash, and floor care.
• Strip and reset beds; ensure all rentals exceed property standards and are fully functional before guest arrival.
• Support property needs by washing, drying, folding, and sorting linens and laundry.
• Deliver exceptional service by responding promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and requests.
• Partner with guest services, groundskeeping, and other teams to maintain a "guest-ready" property and meet departmental goals.
• Maintain consistent attendance and strictly follow all health, safety, and company guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure a clean, orderly environment.
