About The Position

Stout’s Island Lodge, a premier lakeside retreat, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our guest rooms, common areas, and facilities, ensuring that each guest enjoys a pristine and comfortable environment during their stay. Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards will help provide a memorable and welcoming experience for all guests.

Requirements

Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Friendly and positive attitude, with excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a hospitality environment, especially in a resort or lodge setting.
Knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment.
Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Guest Room Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities such as towels, toiletries, and linens.
Common Area Maintenance: Ensure that common areas such as hallways, lounges, and restrooms are clean, tidy, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Laundry Services: Wash, dry, fold, and stock linens, towels, and other laundry items for guest use, ensuring all items are clean, fresh, and ready for use.
Cleaning Supplies Management: Properly store and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient, and items are in good working condition.
Guest Service: Provide a friendly and courteous experience to guests when interacting with them, ensuring their needs are met and responding to any special requests.
Attention to Detail: Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning to management or maintenance staff for timely resolution.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures, ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy environment for both guests and staff.
