About The Position

Golden Years Homestead is a full-service Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) dedicated to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Healthcare settings. Our mission is to serve with compassion, respect, and excellence, and our housekeeping team plays a vital role in bringing that mission to life every day. Position Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. In this role, you will primarily serve Independent Living residents, with occasional support in Assisted Living and Healthcare areas. Youll help create a warm, clean, and safe living environment that promotes dignity and well-being for our residents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous housekeeping experience in senior living, skilled nursing, or hospitality settings a plus
• Friendly, respectful demeanor with a strong interest in serving older adults
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
• Capable of handling physical demands including lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, and standing for long periods
• Follows safety and infection control protocols consistently

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks in resident apartments, common areas, and care units per established schedules
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces including floors, windows, fixtures, and bathrooms
• Empty trash, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness of housekeeping carts and storage areas
• Deep clean resident rooms monthly and upon move-out or transfers
• Assist residents with maintaining their living spaces as needed
• Follow infection control procedures, universal precautions, and proper use of PPE
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the Environmental Services Director
• Participate in fire/disaster drills and departmental meetings
• Ensure work areas are left clean and organized at the end of each shift
