About The Position

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for daily cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned residential units, common spaces, hallways/corridors, restrooms and offices to ensure that the highest degree of quality is maintained at all times. Also included in this position is the expectation that the person in this job will: Uphold and put into daily practice the values of Carol Woods. Support the well-being and quality of life of every individual resident. Function as a good steward of resident resources. Contribute to Carol Woods approach to continual quality improvement. Support the concepts of a learning organization.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Degree or Equivalent Certificate.
  • Experience: Experience in a Healthcare Facility preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Physical: Must be able to lift objects up to 30 lbs, Walk, bend and reach for extended periods of time.

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean residents’ apartments and private living spaces
  • Assist in laundry room as required
  • Ensure that equipment is cleaned, maintained, in proper working order and stored properly at the end of each shift
  • Ensure that common spaces are routinely cleaned
  • Immediate treatment of carpet stains as well as report to management to ensure timely cleanliness
  • Report any signs of unusual behavior or apparent illness of a resident to management
  • Report any safety issues to management
  • All other duties as assigned.
