Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Ability to lift 30 pounds. General Summary: The New Resident and Guest Experience Housekeeping Associate is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, readiness, and overall presentation of apartments undergoing refurbishment, newly occupied residences, and guest rooms. This role also provides general housekeeping support, as needed, to maintain a welcoming and well-kept environment throughout the community. Essential Job Duties : Prepare refurbished apartments by completing detailed cleaning, dusting, polishing, and staging to ensure units are ready for marketing appointments. Turn on the lights, freshen cleanings, vacuum on days of appointments. Report any concerns to the supervisor. Attend weekly refurbishment meetings. Work closely with the Plant Operations Team and the Marketing Team to ensure needs and deadlines are met. Monitor refurbishment schedules and coordinate with supervisors and maintenance teams to ensure apartments are cleaned promptly as work is completed. Clean and maintain newly occupied apartments to support a positive first-day experience for incoming residents. Check in with the new residents regarding needs on the day of the move in and one week after the move in. Ensure guest rooms are consistently ready, including cleaning, restocking amenities, changing linens, and maintaining an inviting environment. Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the Receptionist Staff. Report maintenance needs or safety concerns observed in resident apartments, guest rooms, and common areas. Support special projects or cleaning assignments as directed by the Housekeeping Manager or Environmental Services leadership. Provide exceptional customer service, responding courteously and promptly to resident and guest needs. Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the workday. Must be able to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching, and stretching. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds independently. Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. over tiled and carpeted surfaces over long distances. Must be able to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents. May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenza, HIV, and hepatitis. May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals.
