Housekeeper/Laundry Aide
About The Position
Quantum Rehabilitation and Nursing located in Middle Island, NY is looking for a Full-time Housekeeper/Laundry Aide. Excellent Benefits! The Laundry & Linen Aide is responsible to collect, process, launder and deliver linens to resident rooms. Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with State, Federal, Health and Company standards. Must follow instructions by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe manner. Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, in restrooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed. Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with a plastic liner.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Collect, process, launder and deliver linens to resident rooms
- Wash, dry, pack and label all linens/resident clothing
- Fold clean linens/resident clothing after washing and drying
- Keep on record of all linen/resident clothing on a daily basis
- Clean the washing machine and dryers on a daily basis
- Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with State, Federal, Health and Company standards
- Follow instructions by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe manner
- Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, in restrooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed
- Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with a plastic liner
- Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible
