About The Position

This is a Non-Exempt position. The Housekeeper will perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, local standards and guidelines, and regulations governing the facility, and as directed by the Administrator and/or the Lead Housekeeper to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED desired
• Knowledge of housekeeping practices desired
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
• Physical ability to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 30 pounds to a minimum height of 2 feet and be able to push, pull move; and/or carry said weight a minimum of 20 feet.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Must be able to successfully clear a Criminal History Background Inquiry that indicates no felony or conviction/s on the DSHS Secretary’s List.
• Knowledge of long-term care setting.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance (if required)
• Must maintain required clearances throughout employment (if applicable)

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a janitorial setting is desired.
