Job Summary: The Housekeeper II is responsible for providing a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeper II performs cleaning services in resident rooms and general building areas in a manner that supports resident comfort, dignity, and overall well-being. This role promotes positive customer relations, demonstrates accountability for equipment and supplies, and serves as a supportive team member and resource within the department. The Housekeeper II provides floorcare throughout the building. Experience in housekeeping and/or floorcare is preferred, but we are willing to train! Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides housekeeping services in resident rooms, vacant rooms, and general building areas under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, stripping, waxing, buffing, etc. Performs routine and deep cleaning duties including trash removal, bathroom sanitation, floor and carpet care, surface cleaning, window/mirror cleaning, and terminal cleaning of rooms. Uses approved cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly; maintains accountability for assigned equipment and supplies. Maintains cleanliness of hallways, stairs, elevators, and common areas as assigned. Follows verbal and written work assignments and completes daily tasks within established schedules. Provides services in a manner that protects resident privacy, dignity, confidentiality, personal choice, and autonomy. Responds promptly and courteously to resident requests; communicates positively with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers. Observes and reports changes in resident condition, safety hazards, maintenance issues, and resident incidents to appropriate staff. Follows all organizational and departmental safety, infection control, sanitation, and hand hygiene policies and procedures. Participates in required training, staff meetings, and staff development programs. Serves as a team player and departmental resource by assisting coworkers and supporting department operations. Maintains professional appearance, hygiene, and conduct in accordance with organizational policies. Responds appropriately during emergency situations and assists as directed by supervisory staff.
