Requirements

  • Maintain a smoke-free environment
  • Reliable transportation. Mileage reimbursement for family car usage.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
  • Comfortable working with a teenager and maintaining appropriate boundaries
  • Proactive and experienced in running a household with a focus on organization and systems.
  • Able to handle food allergies and sensitivities, ensuring that meals meet the family’s dietary needs (gluten-free, no mango).
  • Trustworthy, well-spoken, and able to maintain boundaries while becoming an extension of the family.
  • Comfortable and experienced in managing pet care, including walking and scheduling appointments for the family dog.
  • Able to coordinate family activities and errands, ensuring everything runs smoothly without disruption.
  • Flexible, especially with scheduling needs and able to step in when there are last-minute changes.
  • Personable, approachable, and willing to provide general support as needed, always with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organization systems (closets, pantry, storage)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily, ensuring neatness, including load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas, ensure home is prepped for cleaning services
  • Oversee household calendars and schedules
  • Prepare for family events, holidays, and guests
  • Assist with packing/unpacking for family travel
  • Coordinate with service providers and vendors
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups
  • Support seasonal swaps for clothing, bedding, and decor
  • Manage household supply lists and inventory
  • Coordinate orders from Amazon, Costco, and other retailers
  • Handle grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, and other errands
  • Manage package pickups, mail sorting, and deliveries
  • Plan, prep, and make healthy dinners for the family (gluten-free, no mango; 4-5x/week)
  • Prepare weekly snacks for the family
  • Clean kitchen after meal prep and manage tidiness
  • Shop for groceries and ensure ingredients meet dietary needs
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry
  • Occasionally steam outfits and manage special care for linens
  • Rotate bedding weekly and ensure guest rooms are prepared when needed
  • Maintain laundry area cleanliness and organization and that laundry essentials are well-stocked
  • Walk the family dog daily (seasonal, 30 minutes daily)
  • Brush the dog 3x a week and provide water daily
  • Schedule and coordinate vet and grooming appointments
  • Keep pet supplies organized and ensure the dog’s needs are met
  • Coordinate family vehicle maintenance
  • Keep vehicles tidy and ensure they are ready for use
  • Assist with school or activity pick-ups as needed
  • Provide light supervision and childcare support during date nights or events
  • Flexibility for emergency pickups or schedule changes
  • Schedule and supervise service providers (cleaners, contractors, landscapers)
  • Coordinating and scheduling, and being present and aware when the providers are in the home
  • Lanai and pool area: scheduling the screen washing, power washing, coordinate with pool maintenance that the hot tub is getting the water is changed out quarterly
  • Wiping down ping pong table
  • Have the outdoor space ready for use (sweeping off patio, wiping down outdoor furniture)
  • Coordinate sprinkler system
  • Be aware of outside maintenance needs and coordinate repairs with the family
  • Tackle deep cleaning tasks (e.g., fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker descaling)
  • Organize and refresh specific zones, particularly the garage
  • Maintain and clean household appliances (e.g., washing machines, humidifiers)
  • Assist with travel planning, including scheduling and coordinating logistics
  • Manage the family’s calendars, ensuring all events, appointments, and reminders are tracked and organized
  • Coordinate family events, appointments, and guest preparations, including organizing pre-event details and assisting with post-event clean-up
