About The Position

We are a family with three kids (14, 12, 8) and own and operate our own business. Our lives blend personal and professional, with one parent working from home and the other working at the office. We value our family time and want to ensure our home runs smoothly, allowing us to focus on spending quality time together rather than managing day-to-day tasks. We are looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive partner to help with household management, meal preparation, and other tasks to give us more time as a family. We need a warm, self-motivated individual who can work independently and help build and maintain household systems. The right candidate will be able to handle tasks such as laundry management, grocery shopping, and meal preparation, as well as assist with after-school pickups and family-related errands. They should be organized and able to create and maintain household systems, especially as we prepare for our upcoming move to a new house. We value clear communication and a proactive attitude. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who aligns with our values and can support us in a flexible, collaborative way.

Requirements

  • Able to maintain a smoke-free environment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clean driving record (must be comfortable driving the family car with family insurance)
  • Comfortable working in a Christian household
  • Willingness to sign an NDA
  • Friendly, sociable, and approachable with excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to maintain household systems
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
  • Calm and focused, able to work independently and ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Competent with meal prep and organization, comfortable following recipes
  • Comfortable with a variety of tasks, including family support and light childcare
  • Ability to adapt to the family’s evolving needs, especially as the children grow

Responsibilities

  • Reset and tidy rooms daily (e.g., load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas)
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies
  • Prepare a nightly meal for the family (~5:00 PM)
  • Clean kitchen post-prep and maintain kitchen tidiness
  • Do one load of laundry daily (rotate through family clothing, towels, bedding)
  • Open to occasional date night coverage on Friday (once or twice monthly)
  • Coordinate pick-ups/drop-offs, as needed
  • Manage kids’ wardrobe as they outgrow items and need replacements
  • Work with kids to prep backpacks/clothing/snacks
  • Create and/or maintain household organization systems
  • Prep home for weekly housecleaners
  • Tidy kids’ rooms (books away, floors picked up, beds made)
  • Help organize the game room
  • Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding)
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Assist with events/holidays/guest prep/birthday parties
  • Provide help packing/unpacking for travel for kids
  • Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc., as needed
  • Coordinate with cleaners for occasional deep cleans (oven, baseboards)
  • Refresh garage/mudroom/entry
  • Manage larger organizational projects (toys, gear)
  • Manage running household supply lists
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
  • Run errands: returns, dry cleaning, post office, gift shopping
  • Wrap gifts for birthdays, holidays, etc.
  • Bring mail in, help put package items away
  • Breakdown boxes
  • Prepare four dinners a week (Monday-Thursday), two Hello Fresh recipes and two from provided recipes until family’s preferences are learned
  • Batch-cook items (e.g. egg bites, protein bites, pancakes, etc.) to help set-up the week
  • Prep additional snacks, as time permits
  • Get groceries weekly
  • Clean up kitchen and maintenance tidiness
  • Wash/fold/organize/put away family laundry
  • Iron/steam and provide special care for specific garments
  • Rotate linens and towels weekly
  • Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areas
  • Clean out vehicles and take them to occasional car washes
  • Assist with ad hoc maintenance appointments
  • Oversee cleaners, contractors, landscapers, pest control and pool service
  • Research/coordinate repairs and quotes
  • Look after home systems (HVAC, security, pool)
  • Manage annual window cleaning, alarm system maintenance
  • Calendar management (including household schedules)
