Requirements

  • Maintain a smoke-free environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for work-related driving, such as school pick-ups, errands, and appointments.

  • Comfortable with both childcare and family support, from school pick-ups to meal prep.
  • Experienced at juggling multiple tasks and staying on top of family schedules.

  • Calm, organized, and able to work well within a structured environment.
  • Someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean and tidy home.

Responsibilities

  • Household Organization & Maintenance
  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, pantry, toys).
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily (including load and unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, and vacuum high-traffic areas.); maintain overall neatness, ensuring the home is prepped for cleaning services.
  • Oversee household schedules and calendars, including family events and guest preparations.
  • Coordinate donation drop-offs and pickups.
  • Go through kids' hand-me-downs and ensure items are appropriate for donation or storage.
  • Support packing and unpacking for travel or seasonal transitions.
  • Supervise and coordinate with service providers (e.g., handymen, landscapers).
  • Inventory & Errands
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies.
  • Create and maintain household supply lists and coordinate orders (Amazon, Costco, etc.).
  • Run errands including grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, and gift shopping.
  • Handle package pickup, mail sorting, and deliveries.
  • Meal Support
  • Plan, prep, and cook 4 dinners per week (including batch cooking for meals).
  • Plan and prep breakfast items, such as breakfast casseroles and grab-and-go options.
  • Pack school lunches for the children.
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items.
  • Clean kitchen post-prep and manage kitchen tidiness.
  • Handle weekly meal budget and coordinate shopping needs.
  • Laundry & Linens
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding).
  • Iron, steam, and prepare uniforms and outfits as needed.
  • Manage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, and restock essentials.
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies.
  • Pet Care
  • Walk and care for the family dog.
  • Keep pet supplies stocked and organized.
  • Coordinate and transport the dog to monthly grooming appointments.
  • Vehicle Upkeep
  • Assist with vehicle clean-outs and occasional logistics for car maintenance.
  • Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
  • Perform occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards, etc.).
  • Oversee outdoor weekly maintenance, bringing items into the house or tidying up.
  • Organize and maintain entryways, mudroom, and seasonal gear.
  • Family Support & Child Assistance
  • Assist with school/activity pick-ups and light childcare duties.
  • Oversee the kids' homework and ensure they’re prepared for school.
  • Provide backup childcare for sick days and school holidays.
  • Help with overnight childcare when parents travel.
  • Administrative & Personal Assistant Support
  • Help with scheduling playdates and kid logistics.
  • Coordinate appointments and assist with basic family tasks.
