About The Position

We are a dynamic family of four with two energetic children (age 9 and 6) and two loving cats. Both parents have demanding careers, one in tech and the other in consulting, which means we need consistent support to help keep our home running smoothly. With both parents working hybrid schedules, our home is lively, and we are focused on managing the household, ensuring everything is in order, and supporting our children's transitions, all with the ultimate goal of having more time together and a more restorative home environment. Despite our busy lives, we are committed to making more quality time for family moments, whether that’s supporting the kids in their activities or simply enjoying time together at home. We’re looking for someone who can seamlessly integrate into our home, help us maintain a calm and organized environment, and allow us to fully relax in our downtime. We are looking for a self-directed, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You should be comfortable overseeing daily household tasks, supporting the kids through morning and afternoon school transitions, while maintaining a calm, organized presence in our home. You’ll be an essential part of our routine, particularly in the mornings, ensuring the kids are ready for school, and managing household tasks in the quieter hours. Flexibility is key, especially in adapting to changing family needs and unpredictable work travel schedules. We’re looking for someone who is interested in supporting our family long term and is open to having the scope adjusted to meet the needs of the family over time.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prep healthy meals/snacks for kids
  • Pack lunches for summer camp
  • Grocery shopping and organizing meal-related items
  • Oversee kitchen cleanliness after meal prep
  • Occasional batch cooking for family meals
  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily, prep the house for cleaning services
  • Oversee family calendars and schedules (shared Google Calendar)
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe down surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas
  • Maintain indoor plants
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing)
  • Feed cats and manage litter box (only when family is traveling)
  • Keep pet supplies stocked and organized
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance (oil changes, inspections) for family vehicles
  • Ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organized
  • School and activity pickups and drop-offs (most important in the morning)
  • Light supervision, playtime, or back-up childcare
  • Prep backpacks, clothing, or snacks for school
  • Assist with children’s school-related tasks (homework, snacks, prep for school)
  • Tracking and assisting with registration for summer camps or sports registration
  • Scheduling kids’ routine Doctor or Dentist appointments
  • Help with Facebook Marketplace sales of unused items
