About The Position

The House Supervisor is a member of the Nursing Leadership Team and provides administrative and clinical
responsibility for functioning of nursing services for the facility in the absence or as directed by the DON
/CNO. The House Supervisor also provides administrative guidance and oversight for the entire campus and
departments when department managers are off site. (Generally evening’s night’s weekends).

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• One year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults, adolescents and/or children preferred.
• One year of progressive experience in management and/or supervision preferred.
• Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License
• Current North Carolina Driver’s License
• Current CPR Certification
• CPI Certification
• Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
• Knowledge of milieu management.
• Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties.
• Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects.
• Ability to safely implement treatment procedures.
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and role modeling for assigned staff.
• Supervises direct patient care, assessments and crisis management.
• Ensures environmental safety for the patient population.
• Provide training and education to staff, patients and families.
