About The Position

To manage an ICF/ID Residence and perform other duties needed as a member of the ICF/ID Management Team. o On-call responsibilities o Required meetings  Attends and Participates in ICF/ID Management Meetings on a regular basis  Attends and Participates in individual support meetings  Attends Accreditation Meetings and ICF/ID Survey Exit Conferences o Enhance staff relationships  Use effective communication skills  Encourage staff’s growth and self-development  Facilitate teamwork  Employ conflict resolution skills  Provide adequate supports to staff  To ensure team work between Day Program and the Residence o Providing and modeling direct support  Assisting with daily living skills  Communicating and interacting with individuals served  Facilitating community inclusion  Facilitate family involvement  Maintaining an appropriate physical environment  Provide transportation  Implementing and monitoring support plans  Responsible for scheduling and attending Dr. appointments o Program planning and monitoring  Completion of required assessments  Attend and participate in Individual Support Plan planning meetings and all Circle of Support Meetings  Monitor progress by reviewing Daily Notes and Data Tracking Sheets daily  Record process by completing Monthly Reviews and submitting them in a timely manner  Train staff on appropriate Implementation Plans o Managing personnel  Participates in the hiring and firing process of ICF/ID DSPs  Evaluates job performance yearly and provides feedback to staff on a regular basis  Coordinates vacation, staffing schedules, monitor staffs work time, and other paperwork for ICF/ID DSPs  Ensures proper staffing ratio is provided for completion of direct care and active treatment in the Homes as outlined in the staffing plan. (House Managers may be responsible to work shifts) o Training and staff development  In-service and orientation of new staff and completion of Training Sheets  Arranging for staff to attend training, in-service sessions and completing on-line training  Conduct monthly staff meetings with defined agenda and signature sheet o Protecting Health and Safety  Completing reportable incidents for via computer  Monitoring safety issues  Practice appropriate emergency procedures  Conduct monthly fire drill and complete appropriate documentation  Responding to emergencies  Promoting consumer rights regarding health and safety o Managing finances (see “ICF/ID Financial Procedure”)  Managing staffing budget  Managing food budget  Managing supply budget  Managing medical budget  Managing client funds  Managing petty cash funds o Managing regulations, polices, and procedures  Understand, implement and monitor Department of Health Regulations  Understand, implement and monitor Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Regulations  Understand, Implement and monitor Orange Grove Center Policies  Understand, implement and monitor ICF/ID procedures and guidelines o Perform general office work  Inclusive of all Monday morning paperwork, monthly paperwork, and other required documentation o All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree with concentration in human service with two to four years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Required at least one year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Upon hire must satisfactorily complete all training required by Orange Grove Center and contracting agencies.
  • Successful completion of the OGC required physical examination
  • Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs
  • Basis computer skills required
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • All Orange Grove Center required training and orientation
