About The Position

Merakey is seeking a House Manager Aide to join their team at a program in Philadelphia, PA. This role is an opportunity for individuals with backgrounds as caregivers, direct care workers, or home health aides, or those aspiring to be one, to create long-term impacts on the lives of individuals. The ideal candidate will encourage, mentor, and coach others to achieve their goals. The position involves spending time in various settings, making memories with individuals, and working on social and communication skills by following the Individual Support Plan, which may include activities at parks and sensory gardens. Responsibilities also include enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care, and fostering a sense of pride by teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. Merakey is a non-profit provider of developmental, behavioral health, and education services, employing over 8,000 individuals and supporting nearly 40,000 individuals and families across 12 states. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred

Responsibilities
