About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Corporate Purchasing category team by utilizing various system applications to add and maintain the data necessary to move items through the supply chain. The incumbent must also research and resolve issues such as discrepancies in pricing, scanning, receiving, or invoicing. Another major function of this position is to provide written and oral communication to internal and external customers. The responsibilities listed on this position analysis are not intended to be all-inclusive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience performing administrative duties
  • Proficient in PIMS and Marwood

Responsibilities

  • data entry and data management of new and existing items
  • researching product and pricing discrepancies with suppliers, internal departments, stores, and customers
  • processing and filing Scan down rebates and promotional information
  • providing administrative support to the Category Manager and Buyers
  • managing Special Item Requests (SIR)
  • providing category support by training new associates on category procedures and processes and assisting other areas when their clerical is on vacation
