Job Purpose: Provides guest service in both the gift shop and spa, operates point of sale system, and provides guidance to Retail Clerks and Spa Attendants. Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time) Provides service excellence by acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the casino, gift shop and spa, showing requested merchandise in display cases, entering guest purchase information into the ticketing system and/or point of sale system, collecting and processing payment and returning applicable change following established procedures, providing assistance and/or instruction in the use of the spa facilities and services, providing guests with towels, water, and equipment as requested, answering guest inquiries, informing guests of promotions and specials, promptly notifying Spa and Salon Manager of guest comments and/or complaints, and treating all guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Promotes guest relations by answering the phone, providing requested assistance and information regarding up-to-date promotional contests, giveaways, concerts, and treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Provides accounting of transactions during shift by entering cash transactions in to point of sale system, counting currency, applying guest discounts, vouchers, player points, iComps, currency, and credit cards on to cashier drop work sheet, balancing money drawer against generated cashier report following established procedures, and reporting discrepancies to the Retail Manager and/or the food service management team. Assists manager by providing guidance to team members, monitoring performance, and reporting out of compliance behaviors to the Manager as needed. Acting MOD when management of Retail and/or Spa is off-site. Maintains clean and orderly areas. Maintains department equipment, materials and fixtures by ensuring all products and promotional materials are available and visible at spa desk and display racks, cleaning and removing debris from counters, cupboards and equipment, maintaining orderly storage area, transporting materials and equipment to various spa rooms as needed, notifying manager of any damaged, broken or inoperable equipment and when materials or supplies are low and need to be reordered, placing used linens in appropriate area, and performing other maintenance and cleaning tasks as assigned by the manager. Ensures gift shop and spa merchandise is stocked by placing delivered items in cabinets, wiping and restocking shelves, counters, and rearranging merchandise in display cabinets according to established procedures. Provides administrative support to the department by documenting and forwarding reports, complaints, suggestions and recommendations to the Management team, assisting with the coordination of promotions and sales events, and distributing promotional merchandise as directed.
