About The Position
The Hotel & Restaurant Assistant position at Olgoonik involves providing support across various operational areas within the hotel and restaurant. This role is essential for maintaining the quality of service and ensuring a pleasant experience for guests. The assistant will be involved in multiple tasks, including working in the restaurant, at the hotel front desk, and in housekeeping. The position requires a proactive approach to assist in all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring that all areas are clean, organized, and welcoming for guests. In the restaurant, the assistant will be responsible for clearing and cleaning tables, sweeping and mopping floors, managing food inventory, serving food, and performing cashier duties. The role demands adherence to established procedures and a commitment to providing friendly and consistent service to clients and guests. The assistant will also be expected to perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. At the hotel front desk, the assistant will greet guests, answer phone calls, and maintain cleanliness in the restaurant bathrooms and dining areas. This includes checking the grounds for safety and appearance, as well as assisting in the offloading of incoming freight. The assistant will work closely with other personnel to ensure a positive public image of the company. In housekeeping, the assistant will undertake cleaning tasks such as making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, washing windows, and maintaining common areas. The role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures while working collaboratively with other team members. The assistant will also be responsible for washing and folding laundry and shampooing carpets as needed. Overall, this position is vital for the smooth operation of the hotel and restaurant, requiring a dedicated individual who can multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
