About The Position

Audits daily transactions for hotels. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES: Balance hotel daily transactions and makes adjustments as needed Balance credit card transactions and makes adjustments as needed. Process required reports for Hotel manager and Accounting Department. Post night audit charges and closes out the cashier/transactions for the day. Balance Manager’s reports. Register Guests and assigns room manually while in night audit function. Check out Guests and receives all room payments. Administers wake-up calls. Maintains all related records. Answers phones and provides excellent guest service. Responds to guests’ inquiries when needed items. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard.
  • Ability to handle and count cash.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Accounting/bookkeeping skills.
  • General computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and database.
  • Physically capable of standing, sitting and walking for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.
  • Education Required: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Experience: One to two years related experience
  • Computer Skills: Must have computer skills
  • Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
