Job Overview: As a Maintenance Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Your primary responsibility is to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting, to maintain a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our guests and staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant trade certifications or licenses (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) preferred.
  • Minimum of [Number] years of experience in hotel maintenance or related field.
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and HVAC system maintenance.
  • Implement a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize breakdowns and equipment failures.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, including HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and other mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues with building systems and identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including OSHA standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Resolve guest complaints and concerns related to maintenance issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Contribute to a positive guest experience by ensuring a well-maintained and comfortable environment.
