About The Position

Oversees maintenance of all areas of hotel housekeeping and supervises and instructs staff.

Requirements

• Knowledge of entire housekeeping operations.
• General knowledge of front desk operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of various housekeeping equipment.
• Physically capable of pushing, bending, standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• One to two years related experience
• Must have computer skills
• Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions.
• Ordering supplies/inventory.
• Maintains accurate records.
• Assures all staff are punched in each shift, and appropriate breaks are administered.
• Monitors employee work hours to ensure that no overtime is accumulating.
• Periodically inspects hotel areas and Guest accommodations.
• Delegates various duties to staff, as necessary.
• Maintains courtesy and service with a commitment to superb Guest relations within the hotel staff and toward Guests and other departments.
• Makes operating costs and profit improvement recommendations to the Hotel Manager.
• Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
• Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
• Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
• Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
