About The Position

The main responsibility of the Exterior Grounds team is to keep the exterior of our property clean and complete interior project work. This includes supervising the team and assisting with the cleaning tasks such as power washing, furniture scrubbing and dusting, high dusting and high fixture detail cleans, property air vent cleaning, picking up and emptying trash receptacles.

Requirements

  • One-year experience in a previous supervisory role and similar job in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint experience desirable.
  • Valid State of Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must be over 21 years old for vehicle driving insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the team through training new employees, assigning work, inspecting work, being a role model on the tasks and coaching to improve performance.
  • Assist with creating the standards of work and modifying these standards as needed.
  • Ensure team is completing all tasks on time.
  • Communicating with department leaders on any issues to completing the tasks assigned.
  • Pressure wash patios and other areas.
  • Clean, scrub, dust and/or straighten all exterior furniture, and move as needed for exterior floor surface cleans.
  • Clean cobwebs, bird droppings, bird nests, mud daubers, etc. from building exterior, including furniture, fixtures, and attention to window frames.
  • Clean exterior and interior lights and fixtures, some at high levels requiring extension poles, ladder and/or lift.
  • Empty exterior trash and cigarette receptacles.
  • Monitor cleanliness of and maintain trash-free environment in the parking lot, jogging trails, and other outdoor areas
  • Clean and maintain exterior restrooms that are located outside of the main building.
  • Upkeep of all recycling areas, such as the loading dock, social venue and other recycling stations.
  • Perform simple preventative maintenance tasks on the recycling and grounds equipment.
  • Support indoor cleaning team, as needed.
