About The Position

A Breakfast Attendant at Hyatt Place is responsible for ensuring a clean, well‑stocked, and welcoming breakfast experience for guests. This role includes preparing and maintaining the breakfast area, following food safety standards, and providing friendly service throughout the morning.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and handle early morning shifts (often starting at 5:30 AM), weekends, and holidays.
  • Must follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures consistently.
  • Customer‑focused and service‑oriented
  • Strong time‑management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and attention to detail
  • Friendly, positive, team‑oriented attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Breakfast Setup & Food Preparation
  • Set up and stock the breakfast area with food, beverages, utensils, and supplies.
  • Prepare simple breakfast items (e.g., coffee, oatmeal, toast, basic hot/cold items) according to brand standards.
  • Ensure buffet items such as fruits, bread, cereals, bakery items, and beverages remain fresh and replenished.
  • Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout service to meet health regulations.
  • Guest Service
  • Greet guests warmly and assist with breakfast questions or needs.
  • Provide attentive service by refilling beverages, carrying coffee pots, and clearing dishes as needed.
  • Maintain a friendly, guest‑first attitude to create a positive dining experience.
  • Cleanliness & Sanitation
  • Clean and sanitize tables, counters, chairs, equipment, and service lines.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and health code requirements.
  • Sweep/mop kitchen floors, vacuum dining area, remove trash, and ensure an orderly environment.
  • Inventory & Stock Control
  • Monitor consumption levels and restock food and supplies as needed.
  • Notify management of low stock items or inventory shortages.
  • Assist with receiving and properly storing food and beverage deliveries.
  • End‑of‑Service Duties
  • Break down the breakfast area, clean equipment, and store items properly after service.
  • Label, date, and rotate food items according to safety requirements.
