About The Position

Life as an AGM: Oversees daily operations within the hotel, managing and leading all departments. Ensures orientations for new team members are thorough and completed in a timely manner. Ensures all team members meet or exceed all hospitality requirements. Leads specific teams while assisting with meeting or exceeding property goals including optimal guest satisfaction. Interviews, hires, trains. Conducts performance evaluations, resolves problems, provides open communication and enforces progressive discipline when required. Directs the work of, resolves issues/problems of the Front Desk and Food and Beverage team members to ensure a quality operation. Contacts the appropriate individual or department as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems. What to expect in your first few months: First, you will become familiarized with the property and your associates! From there we'll have you work within the hotel operations where your leadership will really shine! As you continue to work in this role, you'll become a key contributor to the hotel's success!

Requirements

  • 2-year or 4-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major.
  • A minimum of 3 years hotel management experience in guest services, front desk, or related hotel professional area.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take on leadership roles.
  • Must be proactive, highly skilled at multitasking and good at conflict resolution.
  • Works well in team environment and presents a professional demeanor.
  • Experience in a food and beverage environment.
  • Candidates should have hands-on exposure to kitchen operations and an understanding of front-of-house and/or back-of-house standards, service expectations, and operational requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 2 years of FOH and/or BOH experience is preferred.
