Job Summary The Hot Shot Driver is responsible for delivering and installing batteries for customers in need and/or picking up their batteries for testing and evaluation or repairs. This includes operating the customers forklift to remove their old battery and installing a new one. Our Hot Shot Driver must always maintain communication with dispatch for whereabouts and problems if they arise. They keep a clean and operable truck and help in the warehouse when necessary.

Requirements

  • High School or GED Diploma required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently, with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments toward the greater good of the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Must have schedule flexibility, as services may be performed during the evening or weekend.
  • A valid driver’s license and CDL.
  • Willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver batteries to customers in need and/or pick up their batteries for testing and evaluation or repairs. This includes operating the customers forklift to uninstall their old battery and install a new one.
  • Occasionally work onsite to wash or work on a battery.
  • Always maintain communication with your dispatcher for whereabouts and problems if they arise.
  • Record all data deemed necessary and obtain a signature for the job.
  • Help in the warehouse when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and operable truck.
  • Always maintain a safe and professional attitude whether driving to and from or working at a customer’s facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.
