Hot Rolling Mill Operator — Bar & QTB Line

About The Position

A day in this role You arrive to the mill floor and review the current bar running across the bed. You check the physicals and make sure speed and QTB settings align. When the line pauses, you jump into action to prep for pass and box changes, handle minor repairs, and coordinate with teammates. Throughout the shift, you move material safely by forklift and overhead crane, watch costs and scrap, and keep customers in mind with every decision you make. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a rolling mill
  • Proficiency operating a forklift and an overhead crane
