About The Position

Temp Responsibilities: The essential functions of this position will include, but not be limited to: ? Understand the inspection plan provided for each forging. ? Execution of the inspection plan to ensure all forged parts meet the required specifications. ? Timely and accurately document the execution of the inspection plan. o Execute basic math skills to take measurements, calculate dimensions, and complete quality control calculations. o Maintain detailed records of observations and all identified quality issues. ? Communicate quality findings to Forge Supervisors, Leadmen, and Quality Manager. o Communication may involve verbal instructions, Quality Assurance forms, or basic written memos / instructions. ? Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols. ? Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be a United States person.
  • A working command of the English language (verbal and written).
  • High school diploma or GED certificate is required.
  • 1 – 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to perform inspections involving basic calculations using handheld measuring tools.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of calipers, height gage, tape, and micrometer.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Basic computer skills are necessary to complete computerized documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and closely follow directions.
  • Available to work weekends and overtime as may be required.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling weights up to 50 pounds for short periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus, but it is not required.
  • Trade school certifications are desired but not required.
