About The Position
As a re staurant hostess /host of Crystal Mountain you have the most control over the flow of the restaurant. You are a key piece in the restaurant operation and direct the flow of service, working with the manager , the servers, and the kitchen on timing seatings in order to provide the best possible guest experience. You will greet guests with a smile as they enter and show them to their table , engag ing with guests to ensure their meal is as good as it should be . To do well in this role you should be comfortable standing for long periods and keeping order over a very busy shift.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast - paced environment
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
- Does high quality work w ith minimal supervis ion
Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they enter and put them on a waiting list if necessary
- Provide guest with menus and answer initial questions with ex cellent customer service
- Seat guests at tables or dir ect to waiting areas
- Operation of our online reservation system
- Assign guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers
- Engaging with the guest to ensure they’re happy with food and service
- Respond to complaints and let manager on duty know
- K nowledge of the menu : ingredients , allerg ens, preparation and presentation of the food
- Assistance with other positions in the restaurant as needed and duties as assigned
