About The Position

The Food & Beverage Team Lead plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and exceptional service in the base lodge food and beverage operations at Killington/Pico Ski Resort. This position supports the department by supervising, training, and coordinating staff while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food preparation, and customer service. The F&B Team Lead contributes to creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests, whether through daily operations or special events.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in a high-end or high-volume restaurant, resort, or private club environment
  • Basic education (high school)
  • Eligible for a driver’s license and ability to transport supplies and staff
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Occasional travel between worksites within Killington, Vermont
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist in the setup, restocking, and daily operation of the food service areas
  • Oversee and perform food preparation and service duties, including cooking, prepping, dishwashing, and hosting
  • Train and supervise up to 25 team members, including Servers, Bussers, Food Runners, Cashiers, Cooks, and Public Area Attendants
  • Coordinate daily activities, weekly meetings, and end-of-season performance reviews for the team
  • Maintain cleanliness of indoor and outdoor service areas, including snow removal and spreading sand/grit at entrances and docks
  • Assist with menu development, recipe building, prep sheets, ordering, and inventory management
  • Oversee liquor control procedures and compliance
  • Open and close the building, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed
  • Provide transportation for staff and supplies between resort locations as needed
  • Support special events, ensuring smooth coordination and execution
