We have spots for part time, full time, seasonal and year-round hourly roles AND we offer insurance. We have partnered with Legacy Ventures Restaurants(LVR) who are a division of the Atlanta based company Legacy Ventures. www.lvmgt.com LVR members are first and foremost Restaurateurs! Our leaders have a combined 305 years of restaurant experience! We are dedicated to providing Lake Burton Grill’s team the support and leadership needed to create spectacular team member AND guest experiences. We want our team members to get the most memorable employment experience and be the employer of choice in Clarkesville! We have 2 outlets Lake Burton Grill featuring classic fine American fare along with an extensive wine list where the Bowline Takeaway and Bar will offer various grab-and-go options, including Shrimp by the half pound, Fish Tacos, Burgers and Signature Cocktails. We will be open 7 days a week during season for both lunch and dinner.

Requirements

  • Customer Service: Must consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet multiple guests’ needs at high quality standards and evaluate customer satisfaction without projecting a mood that detracts from guests’ experience. Must balance bar guests’ needs with those of guests served by wait staff. This requires practical knowledge of industry customer service standards.
  • Communication: Must clearly communicate in a professional manner with guests, vendors, coworkers and management. The ability to promote two-way communication by presenting clear ideas using thoughtful and responsive words. Nonverbal cues from a guest or server can alert the bartender to a potential problem. Must also understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate when he or she needs more direction.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Must adapt to different personalities of guests and coworkers without losing focus. Extreme familiarity or conflicts with coworkers often weaken a team-oriented work environment.
  • Problem Solving and Conflict Management: Must recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgement, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure.
  • Quality Control and Priority Assessment: Assess the value and importance of customer needs to maintain a high standard of quality.
  • Sales Techniques and Customer Influence: Use sales techniques and persuasive communications to up-sell products and services.
  • Performing General Physical Activities: Must perform physical activities that require moderate strength including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials.
  • Analytical Skills: Must use logic and reason to identify solutions and alternatives for a successful outcome in many situations, including cost/benefit analysis; service and product quality; and conflict resolution.
  • Time Management Skills: Must utilize methods and organization techniques in a fast-paced environment to ensure efficiency and respect the time of others. Bartenders must be able to direct others, such as bar backs and bussers, to maximize efficiency and team work.
  • Language Skills: Must speak and write with excellent command of the English language.
  • Flexibility: Often work overtime, when needed, and assist the workload of others.
  • Initiative: Must take action frequently, collaborate with team members and develop new ideas that focus on results.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the dining and serving areas are properly set up and clean.
  • Prepare and organize reservations.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Communicate with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff to seat guests with menus at the appropriate tables as per the organized seating chart in an order that does not overload the kitchen or a particular server.
  • Communicate with guests to ensure quality satisfaction with food and service.
  • Respond appropriately to customer complaints and bring any issues to the attention of a manager.
  • Inform guests about menu specials, entertainment and area events.
  • Perform cashier functions as required.
  • Plan parties or special events.
  • Perform marketing and other promotional services.
  • Clean, clear and set tables as required.
  • Participate in end of shift side duties.
