About The Position

As a Host at Mohican Lodge in Perrysville, Ohio, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This includes greeting and seating guests, taking reservations, and assisting with any inquiries or special requests. You will also be expected to maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and ensure that all guests have an enjoyable dining experience. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time or part time, individual contributor role with a salary of $12 per hour. Compensation will be paid biweekly. Additionally, you will have access to benefits such as healthcare, dental, and 401K plans, meal plan and discounted stays at other Great Ohio Lodges.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a host or customer service role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
• Knowledge of POS systems and reservation software is a plus
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter the restaurant and seat them at their designated tables
• Take reservations and maintain accurate records of guest information
• Answer phone calls and assist with any inquiries or special requests
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including restocking supplies and sanitizing tables between guests
• Check on guests throughout their dining experience and address any issues or concerns they may have
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and accuracy of orders
• Collaborate with other team members to create a positive and efficient work environment
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Provide excellent customer service and strive to exceed guest expectations
