About The Position

We are looking for a customer-focused Host to join our team! You will be welcoming guests, seating them in the restaurant, and helping ensure they enjoy an exceptional dining experience. Muldoons Irish Pub is a vibrant and inviting retreat with a true Irish ambiance that will leave all of your troubles at the door. The Host/Hostess is a natural people person who can quickly build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, you rely on your excellent organization and communication skills to bring your best each day for yourself, restaurant staff, and guests.

Requirements

Previous hosting or serving experience in a restaurant setting preferred.
Must have or be able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification through ABC, as well as a valid ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification.
Outgoing, friendly, and customer-focused personality.
Strong ability to greet guests warmly and clearly, and respond to guest needs or requests.
Able to effectively communicate guest needs to Servers, Bussers, Managers, and other team members.
Comfortable and clear when communicating over the phone.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables following the restaurant's seating rotation, ensuring an even distribution of tables among servers.
Inform guests about current promotions, daily specials, and introduce their server to ensure a smooth transition to the service staff.
Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, monitor seating availability, and provide accurate wait times to incoming guests when necessary.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system as needed for takeout orders, and process payments for food and beverages efficiently and accurately.
