  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a service-oriented or administrative position within a customer-faced environment. High-volume, fine-dining host experience is ideal.
  • Must have OpenTable experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate, college degree.
  • Must be detail
  • Ability to carry 3 hot plates comfortably and with grace.
  • Must be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to show warmth, empathy and hospitality through polished phone skills.
  • Ability to handle a high-volume atmosphere while maintaining the highest level of service.
  • Ability to keep up with business needs within the restaurant
  • Work with spreadsheets to handle lost items, lost credit cards, messages for managers, complaints and large party requests.
  • Make calls for the following day's reservations, noting any requests and confirming what we can offer guests.
  • Being knowledgeable of all policies and procedures relevant to guests, and if no answer is available within the set parameters, taking down guest information to call them back.
  • Field event and regular voicemails and complete event inquiries with guests over the phone
  • Be astutely aware of all aspects of OpenTable: how to make reservations, reservation waitlists, etc.
  • Answer department telephone using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
  • Eagerness to develop food & beverage knowledge.
  • Support the service team to ensure guest needs/requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Professional appearance and behavior at all times.
  • Walk with graceful efficiency through the bar & dining room to assist with service demands.
