Requirements

  • Answer Calls with a friendly and helpful demeanor
  • Welcome and engage with guests, answer questions, provide direction and ensure needs of the guests are met
  • Menu knowledge, allergen knowledge, attention to detail, sense of urgency, ability to speak clearly when taking to go orders
  • Communicate and address client issues and problems kin a timely manner, involving management if needed
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with the Max Downtown dress code
  • Strong communication skills with a polished phone manner
  • Engaging, friendly personality and a passion for delivering excellent service
  • Ability to manage time effectively and remain organized in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • A positive outlook and a team-player attitude, with a strong commitment to excellence in service
  • Ability to work well under pressure, balancing guest needs and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OpenTable is a PLUS
  • Previous experience in handling reservations and assisting with event coordinator is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the activities of the dining room to ensure smooth, fast, and courteous service for guests
  • Manage dining room reservations, coat check when applicable and handing parties or special event info to the Event Manager
  • Note on the reservation and tell servers, dinners celebrating special occasions
  • Assist with to-go orders, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely execution
  • Collaborate with the management team to assist with special event duties, act as a training resource, and take on ad hoc tasks as needed
  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere
  • Ensure the dining room is neat, clean, and organized, providing a professional environment for guests and staff alike
  • Print out menus daily
  • Hourly checks of restrooms to ensure they’re fully stocked
  • Maintain organized and clean host area
  • Ad Hoc projects
  • Training new hosts
