About our property: Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast, by Curio is a stunning waterfront destination located in Southwest Florida, offering the perfect blend of luxury and leisure. What you will have an opportunity to do: The Host is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, seating of guests, and performing a variety of other tasks within the restaurant. Some duties include managing the reservation book, answering phones, taking guests names, walking guests to tables and offering menus and drinks to guests once they sit down. Other tasks are ensuring tables are ready for seating guests, constantly monitoring dining activity, inspecting menus for cleanliness, and assisting servers when necessary. All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of Age
• Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Experience in managing reservations
• Demonstrable customer-service skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the venue
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Manage reservations
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
• Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress’s name
• Greet customers upon their departure
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
• Use knowledge of menu to answer guest questions
• Coordinate with Front of House staff regarding available seating
• Seat guests, ensuring proper server rotation is maintained
• Process to-go orders quickly and efficiently in the point-of-sale system, handling credit/debit or room/house charge transactions accurately
• Maintain store appearance with respect to merchandising and maintenance standards
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines; comply with all applicable laws
• Responds appropriately to customer concerns
• Ensures a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked host stand
• Assist servers and food runners, as needed.
• Must be able to maneuver heavy trays of food
• Perform other duties as assigned
